I am a Tax Preparer for both Canada and the US, and Bookkeeper, who specializes in preparing US tax amnesty submissions, and providing reconciliation services. I am a registered Tax Preparer with the IRS.
My Canadian tax and bookkeeping services appeal to individuals and small businesses, and Owner/Managers of small Canadian Controlled Private Corporations. Aside from tax returns, I have assisted accountants with detailed reconciliations, and have also helped a number of clients in dispute reconcile their books, and prepare offers or counter-offers. My US services appeal to individuals and families who want to get (or stay) compliant with US taxes, or explore the merits and disadvantages of various cross-border financial scenarios for tax purposes, but can’t justify paying full accountants’ fees. We US taxpayers living outside the US often have to file exotic, obscure forms that IRS agents themselves don’t know how to fill. The more expensive accountants can charge clients hundreds of dollars or more for such forms. The truth is, once one understands the forms, they really are not rocket science except in the most obscure cases. So I charge less, and am happy to help you prepare your own future year tax returns if you would like to save money down the road. I am also excellent at assisting individuals who want to learn how to do their own taxes or keep their own records, and am also willing to help individuals organize their finances in preparation for the services of another accountant.
