I just found out my rate increased 18% over last years rate, if I cancel and move to a different provider I will be charged an additional fee to do so. I have a squeaky clean driving record, zero tickets, zero points, zero accidents and have never once filed a claim on my home or auto, never once in my life. They told me this is due to a government increase that took place in May 2018, I investigated the increase and the government has only increased rates by 2.06% according to the FSCO report.
