Hopscotch is a licensed, private home daycare agency offering daycare to York Region including Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury and Bradford. The ongoing goal of Hopscotch is to offer quality home childcare in a safe, warm, educational home environment. We strictly comply with and exceed provincial licensing regulations in accordance with the Day Nurseries Act.
Our service is personal. We make ourselves available to answer any questions or concerns of both parents and caregivers. Hopscotch learns who you are and is then able to recognize your individual needs. We offer monthly unannounced home visits for which reports are given about a child’s day and progress. All of our caregivers and their families undergo an intensive screening process to ensure safety of the children for which they provide care. Each caregiver completes a detailed interview, home assessment, physical checkup and personal and criminal reference checks prior to children starting with them. Providers have exceptional child care skills and provide children with a warm, safe and stimulating environment. Our providers also have First Aid training as well as continually upgrading their skills. Hopscotch offers both full and part time private in home childcare. We accept children as young as six weeks old to 12 years old. Our providers are restricted to taking care of a maximum of five children, enabling them to offer quality time and programs, with each of the children. In addition, being cared for in a small group environment promotes fewer illnesses between the children. Hopscotch works with the York Region to offer subsidized daycare.
