Celebrate Birth offers Birth Doula services to expectant moms. We are dedicated to celebrating pregnancy and birth through education and support.
Having a Labour Doula has repeatedly been shown in research to significantly improve a woman's satisfaction with her birth, including reducing the need for interventions, pain medications, cesaraen births and post partum disorders. It has also been shown to increase breastfeeding success and bonding with your new baby! A doula works to support the mother's choices for her birth, and works with Midwives, OB, home/water births, hospital or birth centers. Rebekah was a lifesaver! My husband and I had no idea what to expect with the birth of our first child. The moment we met Rebekah she instantly made us feel comfortable and like we had known her forever. She came over when I called her and walked me through some movements to get my labour going. She gave my husband lots of tips and things to do for me to keep me comfortable and was a good support for him too. Without Rebekah we would have gone to and been sent back from the hospital a million times! With Rebekah's help, I was able to deliver my daughter naturally. She also captured many beautiful moments throughout my labour that would not have been possible without her. Her postnatal visit was great too. It was nice to have someone to talk to about my labour and fill me in on some of this things I didn't remember! I highly recommend Rebekah!
