The BFM family is made up of several different groups, but all groups work together and have a common focus. BFM is a volunteer-driven, non-denominational Christian organization that operates thrift stores across Canada. There are several different focuses in the BFM mission, all of which are equally important.
At BFM, volunteers play a crucial role in the success of our organization. Thrift Store volunteers are made up of all ages and denominations, and their contributions vary anywhere from a couple hours a week to full-time participation. We aim to create a place where volunteers feel in community with one another and a place where people enjoy coming to help us in our mission. We also hope that our volunteers serve the local people with dignity and respect. Another focus is being good stewards of the earth God has given us. It is imperative that all our stores are environmentally conscious, and follow what is outlined in our “Green for the Gospel” platform.
