Last night was terrible. I found my daughters beloved pet Baloo struggling to breath. So I called her at work and asked her what she wanted me to do. We agreed that he didn’t need to suffer and we wanted to have him euthanized. I drove to her work so she could say good bye only to find out she left work to rush home to say goodbye. So we met and went to the Vets together. We were greeted with empathy and asked if we would like to be present for the procedure. My daughter immediately said yes, knowing this would provide her some closer and she would be able to provide some comfort to Baloo. We were escorted into the exam room and they asked to take Baloo to the back for a quick exam. We waited 25 minutes. When the un-named Vet Tech finally appeared she was carrying a motionless body and I asked if she had done the procedure already. She said yes.
