For example, our Diamond Series Casement achieved a Design Pressure (DP) result of 72 with no re-enforcement at a maximum size of 36" wide by 72" high. The product class achieved was LC which stands for Light Commercial, the next level above residential (R) The new NAFS standard is better for several reasons: Actual performance numbers versus the old system of a performance range Requires windows to be tested to a maximum size – so manufacturers can only label windows that are the same size or smaller. All mulled combinations must be tested and subjected to a difference performance criteria vs. a single window. These changes are good for the industry and the consumer.
