Twenty-five years ago High River Alliance Church began with a vision of a church that would go beyond what was ordinary to reach the people of High River and area for Jesus Christ. This embryonic group was an innovative, risk-taking, boundary-breaking cluster of Christ-followers. Within the first several years, Sunday Services were held in no less than four different locations. Today we still possess some of that pioneering DNA. Our passion is to make fully devoted followers of Jesus. We long to be a community of faith where people grow in their personal journey with Jesus; where faith in Jesus would be experienced on a 24/7 basis. We long to be a community that not only loves God passionately, but people compassionately; that our faith would spill over around us – all 360° - through authentic community and compassion. We also long to be a community of faith that intentionally moves beyond our present realities, our present relationships and present boundaries to invite people outside of the family of God to join us! As it was for the early apostles, as it was for the newly birthed High River Alliance Church, so for us this vision will demand prayer, sacrifice, innovation, risk, and faithfulness. It will also mean great reward not only on this side of the grave but beyond as well.
