Ken's Appliance Repair

Called Ken's Appliance to give me a quote for a rear drum job on my Whirlpool washing machine, Frank D. came over and verified the model number and charged me in advance for a rear drum and 2 hours labour to install it. Called a month later and Venise said the drum was still backordered (actually I found out the drum is obsolete and no longer available). I called them back 2 months later for the status of the drum and they said it was still backordered. I asked Venise to cancel the rear drum order and to refund my money. She said she could not do it without permission from her boss. She also stated if and when they did refund the money, they would be deducting $92 ($80 HST) from my deposit for a service call, where the guy who came over to look at the washer, did nothing but bill me in advance. Enough of this BS!! I finally called my bank and disputed the charge Ken's Appliance made to my credit card. I received my money back from the bank the next day. Very poor business ethics.
