There are times when a physical map feels better than computer generated direction (when you don't have a computer in the car). I have always been able to obtain maps, quicktrip map strips, passport pictures, discounted attraction tickets (eg Niagara Falls) and even travel guides for this province and beyond. And yes, I have even used CAA to boost a dead battery.
