Description

The Raintree Cafe is a casual, fine dining restaurant located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
In the 8 years that we have been open, we have evolved from a small bakery/cafe, to a full fledged licensed restaurant and live music venue. We take pride in serving our community delicious, quality food made from fresh ingredients. We host live music by local talent and provide our walls as gallery space for local artists to display and sell their work. We also have "vintage" DJ's. Thank you for visiting our web-page. Please feel free to peruse our menu online, take a look at upcoming events, check out Lumpy's horoscopes, take a look at our photo album. Comments are always appreciated - send us an e-mail!

This is probably the most inexpensive places to eat in Waterloo --even cheaper than fast foods. And it is completely worth it because you are eating food that is actually good for you. A large salad (meal sized) is less than $7 and a meal sized soup is under $5 --$6 if you want a really nice piece of bread with it. Wraps price around $9, and you can have a number of Indian-based/Thai dishes that sit around $12. My favourite is their butternut squash soup that they make in the fall and their Raintree House Salad (which has " medley of fresh greens with tomato, cucumber, carrots and sprouts. Served with your choice of dressings: balsamic vinaigrette, citrus mango poppy seed vinaigrette, sun-dried tomato and pesto vinaigrette (my favourite!), ginger lime vinaigrette (my close second favourite!), ad creamy feta.") Although it looks small on the outside, and is often overlooked, this is the place for lunch.
