Rayburns Marine World Limited

I would just like to warn Calgary boat owners of Rayburns Marine. My experience was expensive and in the end they never fixed the problem. The issue was a hesitation under load and a ruff start. They replace a seal ring, distributor cap, rotor and fuel filter. A lot of new work and parts and it actually made the problem worse. The total cost for this was over $750. I would also like to note they were supposed to phone me with a quote first and never. I phoned Rayburns a few times and left messages and no one returned my calls. I wasn't even able to talk to them to see if they could advise what was wrong. I took the boat the get winterized to different marine shop in Calgary recently and they found a carburetor connection that was not on all the way. That solved the problem in addition to a 2 minute carb adjustment an they never charged me for it. Boat works great! I really felt "hosed" no pun intended, by Rayburns Marine in Calgary. My advice is to find a reputable, fair marine shop that you can trust.
