Mezza Notte Trattoria

Went to this restaurant last Sunday with my co-workers. We ordered Calamari and bruschetta as appetizers. The bruschetta was okay, but the calamari was quite bland. it was the grilled type, served with a spicy tomato sauce. both the calamari and sauce didn't have much taste to it. it felt like the chef had cooked the calamari and the sauce separately, and put together at the very end. for entrees, i ordered the smoked salmon penne. this dish was the total opposite. i was quite surprised there were a lot of smoked salmon. the dish was a bit saltier than i prefer. you must eat the smoked salmon with the penne together in one bite, or else the smoked salmon alone is way too salty. for desserts, i had the tiramisu. nothing special about this.
