If you are visiting Vancouver Island or you have lived here a while, chances are you have at least heard of the Rock Cod Cafe in Cowichan Bay, BC...For the best place to eat fresh fish and chips, head on over to the Rock Cod, you won't be disappointed. You can chose a variety of fish and chips plates, including halibut or cod, or fresh seafood such as local oysters, or decadent Dungeness crab cooked to your liking. They also are famous for their Rock Cod salad, a combination of fresh greens and grated beets and carrots, amongst other things...my favorite thing to eat is their Captains Plate, which consists of one piece of battered fish, scallops, prawns and oysters accompanied by hand cut fries, always fresh and never frozen...they have daily lunch and dinner specials, and they also have non-seafood choices for those who prefer something other than fish or seafood.The service is always friendly and fast, and I have never been disappointed..give it a try!
