Tapis Abbasi

The other day we went in there and bought a carpet. We were unsure about the carpet and the owner told us, just bring it home and try it out, if it doesn't work just bring it back. So we did - and it doesn't work - we wish it did but it doesn't. Today we brought the carpet back and the owner refused to refund us. He said he would do exchange only. This is a 350$ carpet and he told us would not be a problem returning. We looked into the law and because he doesn't have a printed policy about it, we have no recourse. Who would ever think that when the owner tells you it will be no problem that that means to exchange it only! So now we are out 350$ and have a carpet that does not go with the room. We feel really scammed by this guy. I will have to go back to see if I can find anything that may work but the problem is he has a very small selection and they are almost all Persian. This guy has decided that a 350$ sale is worth losing a future customer and ruining his reputation.
