The College Of Renewable Energy (CORE) can train you in the rapidly expanding field of Solar Energy, in both PhotoVoltaic (sunlight to electricity) but also Thermal (sunlight to heat / hot water). In only six months, our Certified Solar Technician course qualifies you to work as a system designer, installer, reseller, consultant, inspector, and many other fields.
The Hands-On course includes NABCEP certification, as well as Fall Arrest training and certification. Actual installations will be assessed, designed and completed by students. It is not unusual for students to acquire job offers and employment before their course is finished. There are currently over 250 solar-related job openings in the GTA! In addition to our flagship Certified Solar Technician course, we also offer 5-day mini-courses that include: 1) NABCEP certification 2) Solar PV Basic Training 3) Solar Thermal Basic Training.
